It will be a special and emotional evening at Michaels Mercer Raceway this Saturday, August 22 as the track the drivers the crews and the fans pay tribute to Brandon Hawkins who at 26 years old perished from a construction accident July 20th. He won his first ever 305 sprint feature at Bedford on that prior Friday night, competed at Mercer on Saturday night, turned 26 years old on Sunday and then was tragically killed the next day on Monday.

He leaves his son Maverick, his parents Dave and Chrissy, his girlfriend Ashley and his family and friends so to honor him and the people who loved him  The Big Mav Classic will be this Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Michael’s Mercer Raceway.  We would like to thank all of the individuals and businesses who have helped make this event possible for us and Brandon’s son, Maverick Hawkins.
