Track conditions and Heat Claims Michaels Memorial Show, Now Re-Set for July 27
(Mercer, PA July 20): Due to the extreme heat and Track conditions, Michaels Mercer Raceway has postponed the Michaels Memorial Show presented by Erme’s, Inc. The raindate of Saturday, July 27 will be used. “When we set aside that date, we never expected that we would have to use it because it was too hot and the unexpected down pours last night,” said track owner Edward Michaels. “The extended forecast is looking very favorable, so we are expecting a better turn-out of fans and competitors,” he added.
Track officials are working to finalize all of the plans for the make-up event. However, the headline act, the BRP Modified Tour, will be there, along with support divisions to be determined. The fireworks and autograph sessions, always fan favorites at the track, will also be on the July 27 card.
Remember that you can get alerts regarding the cancellation of any racing event at Mercer Raceway Park sent directly to your smartphone or other electronic device.
