Mercer, PA (August 6, 2011):  Mercer Raceway Park and Goodyear Racing are pleased to announce the Sprint Car Appreciation Night, August 20, 2011.  Since taking the reins of the speedway in 2010, Bill Altman wanted to make Mercer Raceway Park the place to race Sprint Cars in Western PA/Eastern OH.  Sprint Car teams have responded well, and Goodyear Racing, the track’s tire supplier, has taken notice.  So, in recognition of the support the racers have provided, the speedway and the tire giant have combined resources to thank the racers.  Thus, every car that qualifies for the Luxaire Heating & Cooling Sprint Car feature event on August 20 will receive a free Goodyear tire certificate!!

Because Mercer Raceway Park pays $225 to start the feature event, the additional tire certificate will boost each qualified racer’s take-home to be approximately $443.

To be eligible for the free Goodyear tire certificate, the car must have Goodyear tires at all four corners.

Racers that have not previously competed in a Luxaire Heating & Cooling Sprint Car program at Mercer Raceway Park in 2011 are eligible, so don’t be surprised if some new faces are in the line-up on August 20 to try for the bonus certificates.

Additional prizes may also be awarded!
